The story follows a vampire, turned Puritan, who wrestles with her murderous addiction, and a grave robber who is caught up in an unexpected witch hunt. Part horror, part detective fiction, this novel has been described as “vampuritan.” Set in Michigan, corpses pile up as the protagonists are confronted with their mortality and morality, all while evading the detectives who pursue them and the scheming villains who conspire against them.
