Where is Patrick's Rare Books located?


We are located in Michigan, U.S.A, but are always willing to travel for the right book/books.




Do you have a brick & mortar shop?


No. We sell entirely online. We strategically maintain a small and intentionally selective inventory, predominantly in our areas of expertise.




Will shipping charges be added at checkout?


No. Tracked & Insured shipping is included anywhere in the U.S. Outside of the U.S. shipping charges will apply.




Can you help me find a book?


Absolutely! Feel free to contact us about the book you're searching for—but do keep in mind that we are specialists in medicine, theology, & Bibles—so if you're seeking a book outside of those categories it may take us more time to locate it.




Do you ship internationally?


Yes. But, please contact us at info@patricksrarebooks.com to request a shipping quote prior to purchasing.




Do you buy books and/or libraries?


We do. If you have a pre-1900s medical book or theological book/Bible you are looking to sell, feel free to contact us at info@patricksrarebooks.com If you have an entire library you wish to sell, please contact us at info@patricksrarebooks.com with your location and a brief description of the contents of the library, such as: approximate quantity, date ranges, genres, and binding styles. If we are interested in purchasing we will request more information and photos. We only buy antiquarian books.




Do you do appraisals?


No, at this time we do not offer appraisal as one of our services.




Is it true you have three cyborg dinosaurs in your home?


Yes, unfortunately that rumor is true, but we keep the books well protected from them.




Why do you specialize in medical books?


As a physician & pathologist my education, career, and experience in medicine gives me an understanding of the contents of antiquarian medical books not available to other rare book dealers.
