Folio in pigskin over boards. Tooled in blind. Raised bands on spine. Hasps present. Clasps/straps broken, one with some residual metal component. Early title label at top of spine. Brown library tape at foot of spine—ready to fall off with gentle touch. ¾ inch elliptical dent in center of rear board. Small library book plate on front paste down and another on title page. 17th century provenance inscribed in ink on title page. Focal worming affecting first 40 pages or so, thereafter only pinpoint. Leaves variably toned; some bright; some brown. Copper plates. Binding tight. Decorative capitals and tailpieces.

Reproduces Juan de Jáuregui y Aguilar's (1583-1641) twenty-four illustrations for the apocalypse. Luis del Alcázar's (1554-1613) book was the first major publication to interpret Revelation as describing events contemporary to John's life, with the exception of the final three chapters.
