Blind stamped embellishments at corners. Red page edges. Boards securely attached. Internal hinges cracked. Ex library stamps on front and rear pastedowns. Modern facsimile of frontis pasted to first flyleaf. Original frontis still present as well. Final flyleaf trimmed from rear. Text block unmarked. Text in Latin. A clean, bright, and tight copy in very good condition. Approximately 5 1/8 x 3 1/8 x 1 1/12 inches. Cornelius Celsus’ De Medicina was written circa 30 AD and is the oldest known western medical document after that of Hippocrates.
