Single volume recently rebound in half brown leather and green cloth over boards with brown leather label, gold text, and raised bands on spine. Gold text on front board. Emulates the original binding. New end papers. Marbled page edges. Variable foxing and toning, but mostly bright. Binding tight. Many color and black and white plates and figures. Tissue guards protecting each plate, which are printed on thick card stock. Text is on heavy paper. 32 plates (19 in color, 13 black and white) plus 109 figures. 

 

Only one title page (vol 1), but table of contents and corresponding pages/plates for vol 2 are also present. Appears to be as issued.

The article on spinal pathology includes a summary of an autopsy protocol performed by none other than William Welch. Among the many professors listed on the title page, Francis Delafield was a famous pathologist and author of a popular textbook which went through many editions, and Austin Flint was one of the most famous physicians of his day and a heart murmur still bears his name.
