Cloth in tan dustjacket with red text, broad art secured over jacket with tape. Resultant tape stains on ffep and rfep. Inscribed by Mushin (to Peter Thompson in 1958) on ffep. Water damage to top edge of first ~35 pages, and much of the bottom edge of the text block causing pages to stick together, some having been damaged when pulled apart, unfortunately. Otherwise, a clean bright copy with numerous figures in color and black & white. 443 pages.

Hans Georg Epstein (1909-2002) published (with MacIntosh and Mendelssohn) on the Oxford vaporizer in Lancet, 1941.
