8vo, in new quarter brown leather with red title plate and gold on spine. Green marbled paper over boards. Red speckled page edges. New end papers. A few pencil markings in an early hand. Clean, bright, and tight throughout with a few small old marginal tears (not affecting text) and a few creased corners. Margins well retained. Three full title pages and two half title pages. Six plates (one folding), and one folding table. Blued rag paper. Minimal foxing.

Vol the first: xvi, 224; Vol the second: v – viii (i/ii was half title to vol 2, lacking), 232; Vol the third: viii, 232

Preface notes this publication was “intended as a sequel to the London Medical Journal). A collection of medical and surgical articles on divers subjects and by multiple authors and translators. Notable topics include an extensive description of adipocere formation (saponification) in exhumed corpses, double hare lip with fissure of the palate, and medical electricity (Galvanism), hydrophobia (rabies), conjoined twins, among others.

This journal ran until 1800.
