Saunders Physiognomie and Chiromancie, Metoposcopie, The Symmetrical Proportions and Signal Moles of the Body, Fully and accurately explained; with their Natural-Predictive Significations both to MEN and WOMEN. Folio in early full brown leather. Title label, raised bands, and gold text and details (fleurons, etc) on spine. Blind armorial or lozenge stamped on front board. Joints cracked along two thirds of their lengths. Circular indentations on front and rear boards, causing waviness to boards. Additional scuffing of leather, as well as loss along bottom edge of rear board. Page edges marbled. Hinges cracked. Ink note in early hand on ffep. Small ink face doodle on verso of rfep. Scattered damp stain (mostly to gutter, but also top and fore-edges). Scattered foxing. A few margins trimmed close but mostly still plentiful. Rare small marginal tears, not into text. Second title page (page 160) dated 1670. Includes frontis, and multiple figures and plates.
