Early (original?) half brown leather with brown paste papers over boards. Raised bands and title label on spine. Leather chipped at head and foot of spine. Boards and joints scuffed. Corners bumped. Shelf wear. Illegibly signed 20th century book plate on front pastedown. “David Laurie Abernathy 1863” on ffep (his name again on rear pastedown). Hinges intact. Mild foxing but otherwise clean, bright, and tight throughout with large margins.
