A Treatise on Mineral Waters. In Two Volumes. By Donald Monro, M.D. Physician to his majesty’s army and to St. George’s Hospital, F.R.S. London, 1770. 8vo in half calf bindings with apparently original brown leather spines (with red title labels and raised bands), chipped leather corners at fore edges, and early marble paper-covered boards with evidence of restoration (probably 19th century?) on volume 1. Library markings on front pastedown, title page, and final text leaf of volume one, as well as, title page and front and rear pastedowns of volume two. Some pencil markings of front end papers of both volumes. Two leaves with folded corner in volume two. Internally clean, bright, tight copies with minimal foxing.

Donald Monro was the second son of Alexander Monro, Primus. He also wrote a book on military medicine. Not in Garrison Morton.
