Folio bound in an antiphonal leaf, with red lines, black notes and lyrics, and red and blue capitals. Yapped edges. Some splits along fore edge where edges are yapped. Prior German dealer notes taped to front paste down. Some repaired tears to ffep. Latin notes written in ink in an early hand on rfep. Red speckled page edges. Hinges cracking. Damp stain at top edge into text involving approximately first half of book. Damp stain at top edge and fore-edge involving rear of book (mostly index). Variably toned. Binding tight.

Sassonia, Ercole 1551-1607. See G-M 2726: Ercole Sassonia gave the first description of heart block, and was a proponent of relying on the pulse to make diagnoses.

Page 88 commences a chapter on Melancholy which includes lycanthropy (werewolves).
